On making any bookings by phone, website or e-mail you agree to the following terms and conditions.
All bookings are subject to these booking conditions and form the basis of your contract with The George Tintern Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales with company number 11144792 and registration address at The Royal George, Tintern, Chepstow, United Kingdom, NP16 6SF (the "Royal George" and "We").
Please check that the details of your reservation are complete and accurate before you confirm your reservation. It is your responsibility to ensure that all details are correct, and the confirmation matches your requirements. We will not be liable for any issues relating to incorrect information.
You are advised to ensure your email address is correct and you have received a booking confirmation. If you do not receive a hospital confirmation please contact the hotel as soon as possible as you would remain liable for any non-arrival, amendment or cancellation charges.
You must guarantee your reservation at the time of booking. All non-guaranteed rooms will be released three days prior to arrival. You can only guarantee your room by giving your credit card or debit card details at the time of booking or by paying for your room in full when you make the reservation up to three days prior to arrival. Payment can be made by accepted credit or debit cards.
The Royal George may cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.
At the Royal George you pay for your room in full 3 days prior to arrival. We accept payments by bank transfers, credit cards (Visa and Mastercard), debit cards (Visa and Mastercard) and American Express.
Room prices are per room, per night and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate at the time of your reservation. Meals, breakfast and other extras are not included in your reservation unless otherwise stated or added on separately at time of booking. Any meals and incidental charges during your stay will be payable upon check-out from the hotel.
The Royal George adopts dynamic pricing and the price of our rooms varies with demand and may increase or decrease as a result. When you make a reservation request, the price you will pay will be the price quoted at the time of booking and as per your reservation confirmation.
For individual bookings you can amend or cancel your reservation without charge up to 3-days before arrival. After this time your card will be charged and you will be liable for the full cost of the reservation. For specific rates the cancellation policy may differ from the one stated above. Please refer to the full cancellation policy provided on the confirmation email at time of booking.
Rooms are available from 3 pm on the arrival date.
Please telephone ahead if you are likely to arrive after 10 pm in the evening.
Your room must be vacated at the latest by 11 am on the day of departure. Failure to do so will incur additional charges up to and including the cost of one night's accommodation.
You can request an early check-in or late check-out for an additional £20 upon booking.
A Government issued ID may be asked for at check-in and you will be required to complete the hotel registration card on arrival.
You must not exceed the maximum occupancy for the room allocated to you.
Children under 18 years of age are not permitted to stay in the Royal George without a parent or guardian present.
If you wish to make reservations for 4 rooms or more, our group bookings policy will apply which requires a 50% deposit to be paid to guarantee the booking. The cancelation terms will be determined in accordance with the group booking contracts.
The Royal George will make every possible effort to accommodate your requests. All rooms are subject to availability. We apologise in advance if your particular requests cannot be met.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within any building, including guest bedrooms. We take this very seriously and failure to adhere to this no smoking policy will result in an additional charge of £100 being made to your final bill and we may ask you to vacate the premises. If you wish to smoke you must use the designated external area.
We accept well behaved dogs in our ground floor dog friendly rooms only. We will charge an extra fee of £20 per night per dog; fees are non-refundable. Upon arrival, you will be required to sign a disclaimer regarding potential room damages caused by pets. Please also note that dogs are not permitted in the restaurant area, only the bar and coffee house, unless a licensed service-dog is required.
You are responsible to ensure you provide details of your intention to bring a pet to ensure we can provide the correct room for your requirements.
Guests are required to ensure that their dogs are well behaved and do not disturb the comfort of other guests. Dogs are to be kept on a secure leash at all times and should not be left unattended in hotel bedrooms.
Please note that all damages and breakages will be charged at their full replacement or repair cost. In case of significant damages, additional charges may be applied to cover the revenue loss. Room inspections are carried out after every departure to review any damage, breakage or theft.
The Royal George reserves the right without notice to make an immediate charge to credit or debit card details to credit or debit card details given previously in recovering their costs for any damage, breakage or theft.
Confirmation of such actions will be confirmed in writing to the customer within 5 working days. If deemed necessary the relevant authorities will be informed and we reserve the right to pursue legal action for the full recovery of all other costs.
Whilst the Royal George has its own security system and cameras, we will not be held responsible for any damage to any vehicle parked on our premises or any other personal belongings that are damaged or stolen during your stay.
The Royal George will not tolerate any lewd or drunken behaviour and reserves the right to ask you to immediately leave the premises and/or vacate your room.
Noise levels must be kept to a minimum after the hours of 11.00 pm - 07.00 am to respect all guests. Any guest causing disruption to another guests stay could be fined or in extreme cases could be asked to leave the premises if it continues after being warned.
We shall not be in breach of these terms and conditions or be liable for any failure to perform any of our obligations in relation to your reservation (such as the provision of room(s) and/or other products and/or services) due to any adverse event, act, omission or accident which happens which is beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, partial or full cancellation or delay of major public event, interruption or fire (except by way of our default) or failure of (except by way of our default) electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
We will not be liable for any losses which are not caused by either a breach of these terms by us, our non-compliance with our duties under applicable legislation or our negligence. We will also not be liable for any losses which were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed. Loss is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen for example if you discussed it with us during the booking process.
We will not be liable in any circumstances for any loss or damage to vehicles you bring to The Royal George, or any property left in them regardless of whether they are parked in a car park connected to The Royal George or not.
Nothing in these terms and conditions will exclude or limit our liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any other matter which it would be illegal for us to (or to attempt to) exclude or limit.
It is your responsibility to ensure that any insurance cover you have provides adequate cover for your needs and for the duration of your stay at The Royal George.
Should you have any complaints or queries about your stay at The Royal George, please raise the issue with the reception team first. To the extent they cannot address the issue, please get in touch with us at info@theroyalgeorge.com within 14 days of the end of your stay. The Royal George will be eager to find a mutual solution with its guests in the event of complaints. Please note that The Royal George is not bound by law to participate in the Alternative Disputes Resolution proceedings.
These terms and conditions are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of, under, or in connection with these terms and conditions. By using our services, you waive any claims that may arise under the laws Introductio states, countries, territories or jurisdictions.
